General FAQ

Do you have a physical storefront?

No, we do not. We are an online retailer, this modern approach allows us to offer a wider variety of products at superb prices, while reaching more customers across the country and beyond. Most of the products from our website we carry in stock and they ship directly from our order fulfillment center located on the East Coast of the United States. E-tail is booming and gradually taking over brick-and-mortar stores, it is a global trend that we are following.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide! Several international shipping options are offered at your service, slower economical or faster expedited at an extra cost. We love overseas customers! Note for international customers: depending on your country and local customs processing time, orders may take 7-21 business days to arrive. Sometimes the package may get held at the customs of your country and it is your responsibility as a buyer to have the customs fees paid in order to get the package released. Import charges are not included into the delivery price and have to be paid directly to the government of your country. Cost of shipping will be displayed to you at checkout based on the total weight of the items and your location, and we are pleased to announce that we are now offering FREE international shipping to all countries on orders over $1500. If your order total is less than that amount - additional shipping charge will be added at checkout.

Are there any discounts?

Yes, absolutely! Look out for our Special Sale events like Black Friday and other Holiday sales. Also if you are a new customer at our website, feel free to use the promo code "GET10" at checkout for a one-time 10% order discount.

Do you offer free shipping?

We offer free shipping on all orders over $99, such orders are shipped via Economy ground shipping service (up to 6 business days). If you wish to get your order sooner, we recommend selecting Expedited Air shipping option at an extra cost for a faster delivery. Please note, our $99+ free shipping offer does not apply to international customers, including Canada and Mexico.

What is your return policy?

30 days money back, buyer pays return shipping. Returned product must be in original, unused and undamaged condition to avoid a restocking fee. Once the return is received - it might take up to 5 business days for the refund to be processed. Please don't return used or broken products, as it is bad for the Karma. For more detailed information on our returns policy, please check Store Policies page.

NOTE: for your own safety, we do not accept returns on COVID-related items like masks, gloves, etc.

My order arrived broken, what to do now?

We have extensive experience in handling fragile items and we do our best in packing every shipment securely and marking package as "Fragile", but sometimes delivery companies handle packages inappropriately. If your order arrived broken, please contact us by phone: 1-833-999-GIFT (Mon-Fri 9 am to 5 pm EST) or via the Contact Us form for immediate resolution. You would need to take pictures of the damaged product and send them to us, so we can file a claim with the shipping carrier for damaging our shipment. Upon receiving the pictures, we can either send you a replacement or issue a full refund. There is no need to return the broken merchandise back to us.

When will my order arrive?

It depends on how far you are located. Orders ship out from our order fulfillment center on the East Coast of the United States. So if you are located in Maryland or Virginia, it might take 2-3 business days for your package to arrive. While if you place an order from Texas or California, it might take 6-7 business days for your package to arrive. During Holidays or in Q4 during peak season it might take longer for your package to arrive, because shipping carriers are overwhelmed by the amount of deliveries. For faster delivery, please select Expedited shipping option at checkout. You can track your package by using the tracking number, which will be sent to your E-mail once the order ships out.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We also accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Amazon Payments.

Dinnerware & Tableware

What’s the best dinnerware material for everyday use?

In my experience, porcelain and stoneware are the best for daily use - durable, elegant, and easy to clean. If you want something more casual, melamine is a great lightweight option (and still stylish).

What’s the difference between dinnerware and tableware?

Dinnerware refers to the items used to serve and eat food — such as plates, bowls, cups. Tableware is a broader term: it includes dinnerware plus cutlery (knives, forks, spoons), glassware, serving dishes and accessories used to set the table.

What materials are commonly used for dinnerware and tableware, and what should I choose?

Common materials include ceramic (earthenware, stoneware, porcelain, bone china), glass, melamine (durable plastic), and sometimes metal for accents. Each has its benefits: ceramic offers timeless style; stoneware is durable for everyday use; porcelain is elegant; melamine is lightweight and ideal for casual or outdoor settings. Choose based on how you’ll use the pieces (daily vs special occasions), how much care you’re willing to take (e.g., hand-wash or dishwasher-safe), and your design/colour preferences.

Are dinnerware sets dishwasher and microwave safe?

Many modern dinnerware sets are designed to be dishwasher- and microwave-safe, but it’s essential to check the manufacturer’s instructions. For example, some decorative finishes or metallic trims may require hand-washing or avoid microwave use. If you’ll use the set everyday or frequently reheat food, pick something clearly rated for those uses.

How many place settings should I have?

That depends on your household size, how often you entertain, and whether you have separate sets for daily and formal use. A good rule: have enough settings so everyone can eat without delay, plus a few extras for guests. For a family of four, for example, two full sets (8 place settings) give flexibility. If you entertain often, consider more.

Can I mix and match dinnerware-pieces or styles?

Absolutely — mixing different sets or combining styles can give your table a unique, personal look. To keep it harmonious, try sticking to a consistent colour palette, material finish or shape. For example: same colour plates with different bowl styles; or same material with varying textures. This lets you evolve your collection gradually instead of buying a full matching set at once.

What should I consider when buying for everyday vs special-occasion use?

For everyday use: durability (chip/microwave/dishwasher safe), simplicity of design (for easy pairing), versatile colours. For special occasions: elevated materials (fine porcelain, bone china), refined finishes (patterns, metallic rims), and design that complements your dining décor. It’s also helpful to have a dedicated set for entertaining so your everyday set remains intact.

How do I care for my dinnerware and tableware so they last longer?

Some general guidelines:

  • Follow the care instructions from the manufacturer (microwave/dishwasher safe? hand-wash only?).
  • Avoid sudden temperature changes (e.g., from freezer to hot oven) if the material is not rated for that.
  • Use proper storage: stack carefully, avoid scratching surfaces with metal utensils if the finish is delicate.
  • Check for chips/cracks; damaged pieces may harbour bacteria or break under stress.
  • If you have pieces with decorative metallic rims, avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh scrubbers.

Glassware & Drinkware

What is soda-lime glass, and is it safe?

Soda-lime glass is the most common type of glass used for drinkware - it’s affordable, recyclable, and safe for everyday use. The main difference from crystal is that it doesn’t contain lead.

What’s the difference between leaded crystal and lead-free crystal?

Leaded crystal has lead oxide, giving it more brilliance and a heavier feel. Lead-free crystal uses barium, titanium or zinc instead - it’s lighter and eco-friendlier, with the same clarity and sparkle.

Are stainless steel tumblers better than glass?

It depends on the purpose! I personally use stainless steel for outdoor or travel use - it keeps drinks cold longer. For dining, glass always wins for presentation and clarity.

Why should I avoid plastic drinkware?

Plastic can leach chemicals over time and isn’t as sustainable. I recommend stainless steel or glass - both are recyclable, durable, and better for the planet.

Flatware & Silverware

What’s the difference between 18/10, 18/8, and 18/0 stainless steel?

These numbers refer to the chromium and nickel content.

  • 18/10: Premium quality - high shine, rust-resistant, and long-lasting.
  • 18/8: Similar to 18/10, just a bit less nickel.
  • 18/0: No nickel - more affordable but slightly less corrosion-resistant.

What’s the difference between matte, brushed, and polished finishes?

  • Matte: Soft, non-reflective - great for modern tables.
  • Brushed: Textured lines, hides fingerprints well.
  • Polished: Shiny and classic, perfect for formal settings.

What’s laser-etched or engraved flatware?

These are designs permanently marked into the metal. Laser etching is light and precise, while engraving is deeper and adds texture - both are great for personalization.

What’s coated flatware (like PVD or dipped finishes)?

Coated flatware uses color finishes like gold, black, or champagne - applied through PVD coating or dipping. PVD is longer-lasting and scratch-resistant, while dipped finishes offer bold colors. I recommend PVD for lasting beauty.

Sustainability & Craftsmanship

How do I care for stainless steel and crystal pieces?

Wash stainless steel with mild soap and soft sponges - avoid harsh detergents. For crystal, hand-washing is best to preserve clarity and avoid micro-scratches. I always recommend drying right after washing to maintain shine.

How do you ensure your dinnerware and tableware are sustainably made?

We source materials from responsibly managed suppliers and prioritize production processes that minimise environmental impact (for example reduced-energy firing, non-toxic glazes, recycled packaging).

What materials do you use that support eco-friendly dining?

We favour naturally derived and renewable materials such as stoneware, porcelain, clay, and certified recycled glass or ceramics—materials that can last many years and reduce waste.

Why is long-lasting tableware better for the planet?

When you invest in pieces built to endure regular use rather than single-use items, you cut down on replacements, manufacturing demand and ultimately waste sent to landfills.

How can I tell if a dinnerware piece is environmentally responsible?

Look for things like “lead-free” glazes, sustainably-sourced clay, artisan or small-batch production, and packaging that uses recycled or biodegradable materials.

Does choosing sustainable tableware mean sacrificing style or quality?

Not at all — our sustainable collections pair thoughtful materials and ethical production with elegant design and craftsmanship. You’ll get aesthetic appeal and eco-consciousness.
