Faceted Drinking Glass

Regular price $7.98 Sale

The origins of faceted drinking glasses are unknown. It is widely believed that in Russia, faceted glasses appeared during the reign of Peter The Great, produced in the town of Gus-Khrustalny (or "Chrystal Goose," in Russian). Glasses, shaped this way, are very convenient, as they do not roll off the table, an aspect that is especially important on ships. The design of the modern faceted glass is attributed to Vera Mukhina, the creator of the famous Soviet monument in Moscow, called "Worker and Kolkhoz Woman."
